WHY DIZZIAK
It gives me juicy curls and smells divine! What's more to love?
GREAT HAIR MEMORY
Bleaching my hair into a blonde ombre style when I was backpacking around South America. It probably wasn't my best look but it just reminded me that it can be good to be impulsive and have fun with your hair
NIGHTMARE HAIR STORY
Between the ages of 11 and 30 I had relaxed my hair/worn weaves and when I decided to go back to being natural it was a scary transition. It took finding the right hair stylist (Subrina Kidd) to give me the confidence to really embrace my curls for which I'm forever grateful!
ICON
Nina Simone - not only did she have that incredible voice but she was ferociously, unapologetic Blackity-black black. And although her activism in support of the civil rights movement at that time harmed her career, she continued to stay true to who she was

Bhutan - I'm fascinated to explore a country which prioritises GNH (Gross National Happiness) over GDP
BEST ADVICE
Go travel by yourself. It's the most incredible experience! Not only does it force you to be more engaged with the culture, the surroundings and the people - it also helps to reinforce that you really can take on challenges (like not knowing a language) and still get by
