INSESSION – TIPS FOR TANNING WITH EMILY LANSLEY

We spoke to facialist, session manicurist and tanner Emily Lansley and asked for tips on self tanning.

Exfoliating is a critical step when it comes to self-tanning. I love to use Dizziak Body Scrub.

It’s essential that you exfoliate your body 24 hours prior to tanning. You should gently rub off the top layer of skin cells to ensure a smooth canvas before applying any self-tan for a streak-free finish.

Dead skin cells will sit on the surface of your skin and act as a barrier between your products and the new skin cells underneath. Exfoliating unclogs your pores and evens out your skin tone. It also increases cell turnover which increases radiance leaving you with a brighter complexion – I’m all about the glow!

Apply product and gently make small circular motions all over your body, then rinse with lukewarm – not hot –  water.
